Without skipping Sarre Royal Castle, located in Lalex, Aymavilles Castle, with the 4 mighty angular cylindrical towers. to finish the circuit the Castle of Sarriod de la Tour, in the flat area, cultivated with orchard, protected by an extensive wall curtain and with its evocative overhanging position on the Dora River.

And it is precisely the breathing of the Castles the experience of today that will take us, crossing the apple orchards to reach Saint Pierre, at the foot of the castle, where "intoxicated" by artisanal and agropastoral products of local production, from the lard of Amard to the fontina, from the honey milleflowers to brandies, from Morgex wines to rye bread, we will make our first Foodies pit stop with a tasting happy hour. A visit to the Castle of Sarriod de la Tour, the complex architecture manor, composed of several buildings dating back to different eras. Don't miss the tower's stunning spiral staircase (the viret), the 14th-century frescoes of the chapel and the Head Room, the main representative setting, whose ceiling is supported by 171 shelves, carved in grotesque forms, and then climb up to Saint Nicolas, a village located on a small painoro at the foot of Mount Fallere, with a visit to the 17th-century church of St. Nicholas built on the edge of the cliff. We will continue to admire the silent enchantment of the central valley by touching small villages, where we taste Valdostani charcuterie, tomini, polenta , deer in psalms, tomes and fontina will be worth a second Foodies pit stop before proceeding so to Homene' S.te Marguerite, where to visit the little church frescoed with naif drawings and we will concud welcomed by a small dairy for an unforgettable tasting-dinner: that will be our last Foodies pit stop [....]
